Good morning, neighbors! This stretch on the calendar (Monday, Nov. 2 through Thursday, Nov. 12) is a quieter one in Chula Vista — no big headline festival this time — but there's still plenty of good, real, local stuff worth circling. As always, every event below is one we verified is actually happening, not something padded onto the list. Here's what's real and worth your time:
Chula Vista Certified Farmers' Market
Sunday, Nov. 8 | 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. | Park Way between Third & Fourth Avenues, Downtown Chula Vista
This is the one so many of you already know and love. Rain or Shine, the Chula Vista Farmers' Market invites everyone to come out and enjoy bites, sips, and trinkets from local vendors every Sunday from 10am to 2pm, right along Park Way next to Memorial Park. Bring home some local produce, baked goods, fresh flowers, salsa, and much more. There are over 60 tents to explore next to the beautiful Memorial Park, and it's a California Certified farmers' market operated by the Downtown Chula Vista Association. It's an easy, stroller- and abuela-friendly way to spend a Sunday morning.
Otay Ranch Town Center Farmers Market
Tuesdays, Nov. 3 & Nov. 10 | starting at 4:00 p.m. | Otay Ranch Town Center
If Sunday doesn't work for your family's schedule, the Eastlake/Otay Ranch side of town has its own weekly option. The Otay Ranch Town Center hosts its own weekly farmers' market on Tuesday afternoons, offering fresh local produce and artisanal goods to the community, with vendors typically setting up by 4:00pm. A nice, lower-key midweek option if you're running errands near the mall.
Cafecito Business Networking – Chula Vista (1st Wednesday)
Wednesday, Nov. 4 | Caffe Tazza, Chula Vista
This month's Cafecito meetup lands on the first Wednesday, bringing together local small-business owners, entrepreneurs, and neighbors over coffee at Caffe Tazza in Chula Vista. If you've got a side business, work in real estate like us, or just like meeting other South Bay folks over a cafecito, it's worth popping in. It's the kind of bilingual, community-first gathering that makes South Bay South Bay.
Heads-Up: Veterans Day Closures (Wed., Nov. 11)
Not an "event" exactly, but worth knowing before you plan your week — November 11, 2026 is Veterans' Day, and Chula Vista Public Library branches will be closed in observance. If storytime, a book hold, or a city errand is on your list, plan around Wednesday and swing by Thursday or the weekend instead.
That's the honest, verified lineup for this stretch — a smaller list than usual, but every single one of these is real and on the calendar, which matters more to us than padding the post with filler. Know of something happening in your corner of Chula Vista, Otay Ranch, Eastlake, or National City that we missed? Reply and let us know — we're always looking to spotlight what's actually going on in our own backyard.
And if you found this roundup helpful, we'd love it if you'd follow the Cardenas & Company Google Business Profile for more weekly local updates — and if you've worked with us before, a quick review there goes a long way in helping other South Bay neighbors find us. Thanks for reading, and we'll see you around the neighborhood!
